Aisha Jamila Hinds, an American actor who is most well known for her roles in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003, she has demonstrated her abilities as an actress by giving stunning performances on television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7 as well as Under the Dome. First noticed in 2005 for the role of Anna which was featured as part of Assault on Precinct 13 It was however her portrayal of feminist activist Fannie Louis Hamer in the biography film All the Way, which earned her the respect she was due as an actor. Hind's performance as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's historical drama Underground was also highly appreciated. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for the third season. Hind recently wrapped up filming on the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters that is scheduled to be released in the middle of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj is an Army scientist, who died the 18th of March, 2017. The mother Vrinda was a homemaker. Her older brother is Aditya Rai who is a merchant navy engineer. Bachchan's older brother and his mother produced Dil Ka Rishta. Arya Vidya Mandir was the school that Bachchan went to after her family moved to Mumbai. After completing her intermediate studies in Jai Hind College, she began her studies at D.G. Ruparel College Matunga, where she was able to score a 90 percent in her H.S.C. exams. She spent five years of her adolescence doing classical dance and studying music. Zuology was Bachchan's favorite subject. Bachchan was an undergraduate student in architecture in 1994, when she was chosen Miss World. Her title brought her into the spotlight of modeling. She received lucrative positions in PepsiCo Inc. and Vogue magazine and also a spokesmodel contract with L'Oreal Paris in 2003. Two of the first films she made in her professional career were Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya and Iruvar. Bachchan turned into the face of New Bollywood with these films that challenged Bollywood's fundamental structure. Her heartbreaking performance as the betrayed lover Paro in Devdas (2002) one of the most loved Bollywood films, and also the first to be shown at the Cannes Film Festival Bachchan cemented her place as the new queen of Bollywood. In the following years her performance, she received praise for her performance in the film Chokher Bali (2003), an intense film based on the novel of Rabindranathtagore. The actress became the first Indian actress to serve on the jury for Cannes Film Festival that same year. Bachchan made an appearance in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice a musical and dance version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan was able to bring both her glam power and her beauty to her first major English film. In 2006, she returned to Bollywood with the hit film Dhoom: 2 before releasing Provoked: The True Story (2006). In April 2007, she was married to Abhishek Bachchan, a regular co-star and the daughter of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that brought together two of the most powerful Indian actors.
