Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay Thai MMA fighter as well as a mixed martial artist who is currently fighting in the flyweight division in the UFC. She is the elder sister of fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as an Muay Thai boxer. Following the league's dissolution in 2018, Shevchenko was a part of Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina's superior strike skills allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended after this win. Antonina was offered a UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight following her first fight via unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss by prevailing Lucie Prudilova's fight in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler who was able to win the fight by rear naked choke. It was the top fight of the night in that bout. Shevchenko had a win in her first three fights but then lost her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has recently been knocked down by a TKO in round two to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
